Job summary

Orion Talent is seeking a results-driven outside sales leader to direct the Western regional lighting business from Carson, CA. You will drive growth through electrical distributors, specification channels, and developer accounts, operating as part of our senior sales leadership team.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years in lighting sales, at least 3 years leading a sales team, and a proven ability to meet aggressive revenue targets by partnering with manufacturer's representatives;

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of lighting industry sales experience.
• Minimum 3 years of direct sales team management experience.
• Proven track record meeting aggressive revenue targets with Manufacturer’s Representatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Western Area sales team to meet revenue goals.
• Build relationships with agencies, distributors, and specifiers.
• Provide product, policy, promotion and business training for agents and partners.
• Develop stock and flow strategies for local markets.
• Cultivate specifier relationships through training and industry events.
• Promote new products in construction and retrofit markets.
• Call on end-users and developers to create demand.
• Collaborate with leadership and product groups on agency targets.
• Develop new sales channels and opportunities.
• Recommend long-term agency strategies in territory.
