Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Commercial Team to provide a unified customer approach.
• Visit customers 75% of the time.
• Be familiar with standard scientific methods, techniques, reagents, and equipment relevant to the product line.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts for instruments and reagents.
• Use Salesforce.com to manage leads, customers, and opportunities; track progress via dashboards/KPIs.
• Plan and execute account management to accomplish goals.
• Ensure customers understand value proposition, features/benefits, competitive advantages, and applications.

Job description

The Sales Specialist for the Western & Cellular Analysis sales team will be responsible for sales of Simple Western and Cellular Analysis instruments, related systems, and consumables to customers within the assigned territory. Develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales and grow market share in the territory. Field-based commercial sales role (CT and Northwest MA); ideal candidate located in either region.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets using consultative selling methods

Job Qualifications

• Understand customer workflows and applications in pharma/biologics R&D and production
• Broad understanding of scientific techniques (e.g., Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Sequencing, High-Value Capital Equipment)
• Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce (Salesforce required)
• Value-based sales techniques; strong negotiation and closing; territory/account planning
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, time/territory management; excellent oral/written communication
• Self-starter; team-oriented
