Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking an Associate, Project Development to support and directly manage development of solar, wind, and storage projects across the West region. The role involves siting, permitting, interconnection, and collaboration with BD, Origination, Engineering, Project Finance, and Construction teams through the full project lifecycle from origination to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience navigating permitting pathways for western U.S. energy projects.
• Travel up to 25% to project sites.
• 2+ years in renewable energy project development, full life-cycle experience.

Responsibilities

• Support and directly manage development of renewable projects from origination to commissioning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BD, Origination, Engineering, Project Finance, Construction).
• Conduct site siting, land/real estate work, permitting, interconnection studies, and power marketing.
• Assist in due diligence on development-stage opportunities and partner networks.
• Prepare materials for management and senior leadership on development opportunities.
