Job summary

Eisai is seeking an Associate Director or Director of Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Oncology, to lead the regional MSL team and advance strategic scientific engagement with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals. The role requires strong leadership, field-based management experience, and deep oncology knowledge.

The position involves collaboration with Medical Affairs and Clinical Development, cross-functional leadership, and travel to engage with external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific terminal degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) with 8+ years in pharma/biotech.
• Experience managing field-based medical teams.
• Proven performance in previous roles.
• Understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, PhRMA and international guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and management of the MSLs within their region.
• Develop talent within the MSL team, including goal setting, oversight, coaching and performance assessment.
• Provide field-level scientific leadership in assigned therapeutic areas and collaborate with medical colleagues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with alliance leadership while ensuring accountability.
• Travel for conferences, meetings and KOL/HCP interactions as needed.
