Job summary

Eisai is seeking an Associate Director/Director, MSL, Oncology for the West Region to lead field-based Medical Science Liaisons. This role requires strong scientific leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and travel to engage with HCPs. Oncology experience and regulatory acumen are highly valued.

You will develop talent, drive performance, and align field activities with clinical development and medical affairs strategies while ensuring accountability and strategic planning across the team.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific terminal degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) with 8+ years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry.
• Experience managing field-based medical teams.
• Practical understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPPA, PhRMA, and other regulatory/ethical guidelines.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Travel required for conferences, team meetings, and HCP interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and management of the MSLs within their region.
• Develop individual talent within the MSL team, including goal setting, oversight of activities, coaching, performance assessment, development, and engagement.
• Provide field-level scientific leadership in assigned therapeutic areas in collaboration with home office medical colleagues.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and alliance leadership.
• Ensure targets are clearly defined and accountability is driven in the organization.
