Job summary

Facing History & Ourselves is seeking a Sr. Director, Development for the West region. This senior leader will own a multi-market fundraising plan, cultivating high-value donors and coordinating across fundraising functions to drive revenue growth.

You will lead a four-person regional team, collaborate with the West Advisory Boards, and partner with senior leaders to advance regional priorities while managing a diverse donor portfolio. This is a Remote First, fully exempt role in the Western US.

Qualifications

• 10+ years nonprofit development experience with revenue growth.
• 5+ years of team management.
• Experience in a matrixed organization.
• Fundraising across multiple geographic markets.
• Integrated development programs spanning multiple functions.
• Proven track record of 6+ figure gifts.
• Experience with boards/advisory boards.
• Excellent relationship, communication and collaboration skills.
• Travel across California and the Western US.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and execution of the West region's annual and multi-year development plan.
• Lead an integrated development program across multiple states and markets.
• Drive performance across individual giving, institutional giving, events and donor engagement, and development operations.
• Establish and maintain revenue forecasting, pipeline and portfolio management, and reporting.
• Translate national strategies into effective regional execution.
• Use data and market intelligence to evaluate results and adjust strategies.
