Facing History & Ourselves, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Development East in the New York area to lead a multi-state fundraising program with a strong focus on major gifts, donor engagement, and development operations.

The role reports to the Executive Director East and oversees a five-member regional team. You will design annual and multi-year plans, drive revenue growth, and collaborate with advisory boards to advance priorities while maintaining rigorous portfolio management and

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead fundraising across multiple states and markets.
• Experience directing integrated development programs including major gifts, institutional giving and events.
• Ability to forecast revenue, manage pipelines and report progress toward goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-state, multi-market development leadership.
• Own design and execution of East regional development plan aligned with organizational strategy.
• Oversee integrated development functions: individual giving, institutional giving, events, donor engagement and operations.
• Establish revenue forecasting, pipeline management and reporting practices for visibility into progress.
• Translate national strategies into effective regional execution and allocate team capacity accordingly.
• Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement across the team.
