Job summary

Facing History and Ourselves, Inc is seeking a Senior Director of Development for the West region. This role leads the regional fundraising strategy, manages a four-person team, and drives revenue across individual, institutional giving, events, and donor engagement.

The position requires 10+ years in nonprofit development, 5+ years of leadership, and strong relationship management. Hybrid work in Southern California is expected with travel across CA and the Western US.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in nonprofit development with revenue responsibility.
• 5+ years of team management experience.
• Experience leading in a matrixed organization and coordinating with non-direct reports.
• Proven success in developing and executing fundraising strategy across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Own the West region development plan and multi-year revenue strategy.
• Lead integrated development programs across gift types, events, and operations.
• Develop and manage revenue forecasting, pipelines, and reporting for the region.
• Solicit and close principal gifts and engage high-value donors and boards.
