Job summary

BKF is seeking a Vice President, Business Development for Planning & Government Solutions. This leadership role drives the BD strategy across the Western Region (CA, OR, WA), partnering with executives to expand market share in government, transportation, water, and land development.

The role leads a BD team, aligns with marketing, and travels regionally to cultivate relationships and secure opportunities. Establishing robust pipelines, optimizing engagements, and steering pursuits are core

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in business development, marketing leadership, and strategic planning within the A/E/C or infrastructure services sectors.
• Proven success leading BD programs, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive BD program and strategies to achieve annual financial goals for the division.
• Oversee growth strategy for Planning & Government Solutions across California, Oregon, and Washington.
• Develop cross-selling opportunities and partnerships with key clients.
• Build and mentor the BD team, including Regional Directors and Managers.
• Provide direction for pursuits, go/no-go decisions, and CRM pipeline management.
• Travel regularly to support client engagement and market development in the Western Region.
• Collaborate with marketing and leadership to optimize the sales funnel and client experience.
• Represent BKF at industry events and client meetings to raise visibility.
