Job summary

WR Engineering on the West Coast is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth for end-of-line packaging automation across the region. You will develop new business, manage customer relationships and present integrated packaging solutions to manufacturers.

This role requires proven B2B sales experience in industrial machinery or automation, strong territory management, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally in industrial machinery or automation.
• Strong territory management skills with a track record of growing revenue in a defined region.
• Experience selling technical solutions to manufacturers or process industries.
• Ability to manage complex, high-value sales cycles and negotiate effectively.
• Experience selling end-of-line packaging automation is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Identify and win new business opportunities across the assigned territory.
• Build relationships with manufacturers, production facilities and key decision-makers.
• Promote end-of-line packaging automation solutions, including case packing, palletising, conveying and integrated packaging systems.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial consultation through to negotiation and order placement.
• Work closely with internal engineering and technical teams to develop customer-specific solutions.
• Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and trade shows.
