Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Weld Maintenance Mechanic I for our Spartanburg plant on the 2nd shift. You will inspect, install, and repair production machinery and tool room equipment; mentor junior mechanics and support continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 5 years of machine repair experience, and strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic skills, plus robotics and welding knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five years of machine repair experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to safely perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, and repair production machinery and tools.
• Mentor and provide direction to Weld Maintenance Mechanics I.
• Troubleshoot electrical and robotic systems and perform welding as needed.
• Support continuous improvement and preventative maintenance efforts.
