ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a Welding & Fabrication Instructor for the Rocky Mountain Region. The role moves from the shop floor to leadership, mentoring students, and shaping hands-on curriculum.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in welding and fabrication, strong blueprint reading and safety skills, and a willingness to learn CNC/digital tools. This full-time position offers growth, a competitive package, and opportunities to impact the next generation of tradespeople.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional welding and fabrication experience.
• Background in blueprint reading, cutting techniques, and shop safety protocols.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn CNC and digital shop tools.
• Strong communicator with a team-focused mindset.
• Industry certifications (AWS, API) are a plus, but not required.
• Able to quickly learn digital systems used in a training environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) through lectures and hands-on shop instruction.
• Demonstrate equipment use—including CNC plasma tables and automated cutters.
• Support students with shop safety, accurate measuring, layout, and cutting.
• Utilize grading software and collaborate on curriculum development and projects.
