Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector for Welding/Coating at a Russellville, AL site. The role requires extensive welding inspection, coatings testing, and bolting inspection expertise on federal projects.

Candidate must hold AWS/WI and NDT/NACE/SSPC credentials with experience in RMS and QA/QC. A background check and drug screen are required; salary will be discussed with management. Comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 5 years welding inspection and 2 years coating/bolting inspection.
• AWS CWI certification with 5+ years in steel fabrication.
• NACE Level I or SSPC Coatings Inspector Level 1 certification with 2+ years coating testing.
• AASHTO G4.2 bolting inspection certs; formal training in bolting inspections preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe, inspect, and report on construction projects for compliance with plans and specs.
• Perform welding inspections on steel fabrication.
• Handle shop practices: storage, cutting, bending, machining, fit-up, surface prep, welding, bolting, erection, coatings.
• Perform coating inspections and testing of coating systems and methods of application.
• Perform structural bolting inspection and testing of bolting methods.
• Provide recommendations on contract plans and specs to government personnel.
• Monitor QA/QC and safety plans adherence by contractor.
• Use RMS to manage inspections and reports.
• Review and process change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
• Monitor contractor schedule.
• Review QA and safety plans adherence.
