Accura Engineering in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Construction Inspector – Welding/Coating to join our team on federal facilities projects.

The role emphasizes welding and coating inspections, QA oversight, and coordination with government personnel. Candidates should hold AWS CWI, NACE II or SSPC Level II, ASNT NDT credentials, and experience with three-phase QC/inspection processes; salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with 5 years in construction welding inspections and 2 years in coating inspections.
• AWS CWI with at least 5 years in steel fabrication.
• NDT personnel qualified to ASNT.
• NACE Level II or SSPC Level II coating inspection.
• AASHTO G4.2 certification preferred for structural bolting inspections.
• Experience with Three-Phase QC/Inspection process.
• EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual preferred.
• Familiarity with Resident Management System (RMS).

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect federal project work for compliance with plans and specs.
• Perform welding inspections for steel fabrication.
• Inspect coatings and test coating systems.
• Inspect structural bolting methods and install tests.
• Review change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
• Ensure QA and safety plans adherence.
• Monitor contractor's quality system and three-phase inspection process.
• Provide surveillance at sites and assist owner in problem resolution.
• Deliver and review changes and documents.
• Advise government on contract plans and specs.
