Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector- Welding/Coating to inspect federal construction projects in Russellville, AL.

The role focuses on welding, coating, and structural bolting inspections with QA/QC oversight and technical reporting. The candidate will ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements, monitor contractor quality systems, and review documentation such as change orders and RFIs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 5 years of construction welding inspection experience and 2 years in coating and structural bolting inspections.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector per AWS QC1 with minimum 5 years related to steel fabrication.
• NDT personnel qualified to ASNT.
• Coating inspection with NACE Level I or higher or SSPC Inspector Level 1 with formal coating inspection training (2+ years).
• Structural bolting inspection experience and certification per AASHTO G4.2 preferred.
• Experience with Three-Phase QC/Inspection process and USACE EM 385-1-1 safety standards.
• Experience with Resident Management System (RMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe, inspect, and report on construction projects at federal facilities for workmanship, materials, installation, and methods.
• Perform welding inspections related to steel fabrication.
• Conduct coating inspections and test various coating systems.
• Inspect structural bolting and installation methods and testing.
• Monitor contractor's quality system and three-phase inspection process.
• Review change orders, RFIs, submittals, and safety plans.
• Provide surveillance at sites and assist owner with issue resolution.
