Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction welding inspections.
• 2+ years in coating inspections and structural bolting inspections.
• AWS CWI certification and related NDT/Coatings credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe, inspect, and report on construction projects at federal facilities for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Perform construction welding inspections related to steel fabrication.
• Conduct coating inspections and assess application methods.
• Perform structural bolting inspections and verify installation methods.
• Provide recommendations to government personnel regarding contract plans and specs.
• Monitor contractor’s quality system and oversee the three-phase inspection process.
• Provide surveillance at sites and assist owner in problem resolution.
• Review and review change orders, modifications, RFIs, and submittals.
• Review contractor’s schedule and ensure QA/safety plans are followed.
• Utilize RMS for project documentation and reporting.
