Job summary

Qualifications
- US Citizenship and ability to pass federal background check and drug screening.
- AWS CWI in conformance with AWS QC1 with 5+ years in steel fabrication.
- NDT qualification to ASNT standards.
- NACE Level I+ or SSPC Inspector Level 1+ in coating inspections with 2+ years in coatings testing.
- AASHTO G4.2 structural bolting inspection certification and training preferred.
- Experience with EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual and RMS is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Observe and inspect federal construction projects for workmanship, materials, and methods.
- Perform welding inspections for steel fabrication.
- Conduct coating inspections and testing of coating systems and application methods.
- Inspect structural bolting methods and testing of installations.
- Provide recommendations to government personnel on contract plans and specifications.
- Monitor contractor's QA and safety plans and administer the inspection process.
- Review change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Support owner in problem resolution at construction sites.
