Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Construction Inspector- Welding/Coating to ensure compliance on federal construction projects in Russellville, AL.

The incumbent will inspect welding, coating, bolting, QA plans, RMS, and coordinate with government personnel to resolve issues. Requires AWS CWI, ASNT/NDT qualifications, and RMS experience; US citizenship and background check required.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive welding and coating inspection experience on federal projects.
• AWS CWI with QC1 or equivalent certification required.
• ASNT NDT qualifications and SSPC/NACE coating inspection credentials preferred.
• Experience with RMS and three-phase QC/inspection processes expected.

Responsibilities

• Observe, inspect, and report on federal construction workmanship and materials.
• Perform welding inspections for steel fabrication.
• Conduct coating inspections and testing of coatings.
• Review QA plans and safety plans with contractor and government staff.
• Monitor contractor’s schedule and quality system; review changes and submittals.
• Provide recommendations to government personnel on plans and specs.
• Utilize RMS for field reporting and documentation of inspections.
