Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred
• Welding training through education or willingness to learn required
• Ability to pass a welding test during application or training period
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and flexibility for overtime and weekend work as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist in welding metal components using MIG or TIG welding equipment
• Prepare materials by cleaning, positioning, and securing workpieces
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting amperage and voltage settings
• Learn to strike arcs and guide welding tools to create proper welds
• Inspect welds for quality, including bead size and depth of fusion
• Repair cracks, holes, and damaged components as needed
• Support assembly by positioning, clamping, and tacking parts together
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and welding standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
