Generac in Oshkosh, WI is hiring a Welder I for the first shift (Tuesday–Friday, 5:00 AM–3:00 PM). You will weld components for assembly of product lines using MIG, TIG, aluminum, and robotic welding under supervision to create high quality finished parts.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or certification and basic welding experience, with the ability to read engineering drawings and follow work instructions. Safety, teamwork, and willingness to learn are essential.

Welder I - 1st shift

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Welder I: $30.10/hour

Welders are expected to perform Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform Mig welding, Aluminum welding, TIG Welding, electric or robotic welding in the fabrication of parts, to be used in the assembly of product lines to create a high quality finished product. Components may be standardized or customized as to design and function.

Requirements

• High school diploma or Certification.
• Internal written and physical weld test.
• An understanding of welding fundamentals.
• Basic welding experience and/or training.
• Basic knowledge of Mig Welding Equipment.
• Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
