The Falkirk Mining Company invites applications for an Intern (Trainee) position designed for students pursuing an associate or technical degree. Trainees will learn to operate equipment, perform maintenance, and read blueprints to fabricate parts while adhering to MSHA and company safety rules.
Positions run for 3 months (May–Aug 2027) or 8 months (May–Dec 2027) with a startup salary of $33.20 per hour. Housing stipend and benefits are available; applicants must have a valid driver’s license
Employee Type: Intern (Trainee)This program is designed for students currently pursuing an associate or technical degree, who have completed a portion of their curriculum, and will be completing their program after the coop/intern experience. It is not designed for graduates. The successful applicants will be trained to operate a boom truck, welding truck, forklift and other support equipment.

NOTE: This position requires working rotating shifts. The role involves approximately 50% indoor work and 50% outdoor work. Employees must be able to work while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to steel-toe boots, safety glasses, a hard hat, face shield, and respirator. Must also successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and the applicable Job Function Test (JFT).
