The internship runs May 2027 through August or December 2027, with housing stipend and benefits. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited diesel or automotive program, in good academic standing, and able to lift, wear PPE, and work

• Enroll in an accredited diesel mechanic / automotive program and in good academic standing with the college or university.
• Completed a portion of college in the associated field of study and intends on completing the degree.
• Applicants need to have a valid driver’s license
• Able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Able to work rotating shifts
• Steel-toed Shoes

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections and corrections.
• Perform mechanical work on heavy equipment and small diesel engines.
• Remove and install engines and components.
• Assemble and disassemble engines, brake adjustments, repair clutches and wheel bearings.
• Perform general repairs on trucks, tractors and light vehicles.
• Perform engine tune ups and field work.
• Service, operate and test large equipment.
• Clean the shop.
