Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a Welder II to join our Tulsa/Broken Arrow fabrication team. You will read blueprints, select welding procedures, and weld components using MIG, flux core, and oxyacetylene/sub arc torches to fabricate or repair headers.

Requires a HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience with strong math and blueprint-reading skills. OSHA safety practices apply; crane experience is a plus. Join Alfa Laval for a collaborative, safety-driven environment in Oklahoma.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints.
• 1 year experience using MIG and flux core welding and oxyacetylene/sub arc torches preferred.
• G Welder test completed.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English—spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and instructions to understand weld procedures and layouts.
• Operates a MIG welding machine to weld headers.
• Operates oxyacetylene torches to preheat heads and cut openings.
• Performs layout and fit-up of headers.
• Completes preventive maintenance and routine machine maintenance.
• Provides materials to workstations as needed.
• Operates crane/hoist to move components.
• Assists Team Lead or Manager and trains others as needed.
• Cross-trains in other areas as needed.
• Maintains a clean work area and adheres to safety policies.
