Job summary

Alfa Laval in Tulsa/Broken Arrow, OK seeks a Welder II Team Specialist to perform welding and related manufacturing tasks using MIG, flux core, oxyacetylene/sub arc torches, and blueprints. Weld headers, preheat heads, and lay out/fit up per procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year manufacturing experience, English proficiency, ability to read a tape measure and blueprints, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of professional manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Proficiency in MIG and flux core welding; oxyacetylene/sub arc torches preferred.
• Must pass G Welder test.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and instructions to understand weld procedures, header layout, and thickness of plates.
• Operates a MIG welding machine to weld headers.
• Operates oxyacetylene torches to preheat the heads and cut attachment openings.
• Performs layout & fit-up of non ASME code water jacket headers.
• Complete Preventive Maintenance Checklist and performs routine machine maintenance as required.
• Provides needed materials to various workstations and locations.
• Operates crane and hoist to load and unload heads.
• Assists Team Lead or Team Manager with tasks and training others as needed.
• Crosstrain in other areas/departments to acquire new skills.
• Maintain a clean work area during and after shift; prioritize safety.
