Job summary

Alfa Laval in Tulsa/Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, seeks a Welder II to perform welds using MIG, flux core, oxyacetylene/sub-arc torches and to read blueprints. The role includes layout, welding headers, crane operations, preventive maintenance and cross-training across departments.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, following procedures, and supporting team leads while developing welding skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in basic math and tape measure reading.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• 1 year of MIG and flux core welding experience; oxyacetylene/sub-arc torches preferred.
• Successful completion of the G Welder test.
• Overhead crane and hoist experience preferred.
• English proficiency in speaking and writing for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and instructions to understand weld procedures and plate thickness.
• Operate a MIG welding machine to weld headers.
• Operate oxyacetylene torches to preheat heads and cut openings.
• Perform layout and fit-up of non ASME water jacket headers.
• Complete preventive maintenance and routine machine upkeep.
• Provide materials to various workstations and locations.
• Operate crane/hoist to load and unload heads.
• Assist Team Lead/Manager and train others as needed.
• Crosstrain in other areas to acquire new skills.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety policies.
