Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a Welder II Team Specialist to fabricate and repair parts in Tulsa or Broken Arrow, OK. The role involves reading blueprints, welding with MIG, flux core, and oxyacetylene techniques, and performing layout and maintenance tasks on a team-focused shop floor.

You will preheat components, operate cranes, and assist with training while maintaining safety and quality standards in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with relevant experience.
• Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) if working on stainless steel.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience; industry experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and interpret welding procedures.
• 1 year experience with MIG and flux core welding and oxyacetylene/sub arc torches preferred.
• Successful completion of the G Welder test.
• Overhead crane and hoist experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English in speaking and writing for safety and instruction clarity.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and instructions to understand weld procedures and layouts.
• Operates MIG welding machine to weld headers.
• Uses oxyacetylene torches to preheat heads and cut openings.
• Performs layout and fit-up of headers.
• Completes preventive maintenance and routine machine maintenance.
• Provides materials to workstations and locations as needed.
• Operates crane/hoist to load/unload heads.
• Assists Team Lead with tasks and training others.
• Cross-trains in other areas to learn new skills.
• Maintains a clean work area; prioritizes safety and compliance.
