Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH in Tulsa/Broken Arrow, OK is seeking a Welder II to perform MIG/flux-core welds, oxyacetylene work, and header fabrication. You will read blueprints, preheat with torches, and lay out components per work orders. The role requires safety discipline and the ability to work with cranes and hoists in an on-site facility.

Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of manufacturing experience, and proficiency with English. PFT may be required for stainless work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with relevant manufacturing experience.
• Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) if working on stainless steel.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience; industry experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• 1 year of MIG and flux core welding and oxyacetylene/sub arc torches preferred.
• Successful completion of the G Welder test.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and instructions to understand weld procedures, header layout, and plate thickness.
• Operates a MIG welding machine to weld headers.
• Uses oxyacetylene torches to preheat heads and cut openings.
• Performs layout and fit-up of non ASME code water jacket headers.
• Completes preventive maintenance and maintains equipment.
• Supplies materials and assists team members; cranes/hoists handled as needed.
• Crosstrains in other areas and maintains a clean work area.
