Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Welder II for the first shift (5:00am to 1:30pm) in Bolingbrook, IL. You will assemble, align and weld subassemblies, in addition to interpreting drawings and Bills of Materials.

The role requires 3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment, plus the ability to operate MIG and TIG welders and related tools. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year welding training or equivalent experience.
• 3 years welding experience in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, square up, fit, tack weld subassemblies and assemblies of moderate to advanced complexity.
• Perform Mig and Tig welding in various positions.
• Set up and regulate oxyacetylene torch; select electrode size and welding rod or wire.
• Inspect work meets requirements and document actions.
• Train others on welding procedures and techniques.
