Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of formal welding training and the equivalent level of experience.
• Three years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Material.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to perform Mig and Tig welding in various positions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, square up, fit, and tack weld subassemblies and assemblies of moderate to advanced complexity.
• Set up and regulate oxyacetylene torch pressures.
• Regulate current and voltage for proper penetration and fusion of metals.
• Perform Mig/Tig welding in various positions.
• Inspect finished work and ensure it meets requirements before passing to next operation.
• Train others on proper welding procedures and techniques.
