Job summary

G&W Electric Co in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble, align, square up, and tack weld subassemblies and assemblies using MIG/TIG welding, read drawings, and verify quality against BOM.

You will operate gas torches, set up welding parameters, train others on proper welding procedures, and help maintain a safe, productive work environment in a large, climate-controlled facility that supports growth and excellence.

Qualifications

Holds a High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
Has at least one year of formal welding training or the equivalent level of experience.
Has 3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must be able to safely use small hand and power tools, measuring tools, air tools and welding equipment.
Must be able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must be able to perform Mig and Tig welding in various positions.

Responsibilities

Assemble, align, square up, fit, stiffen and tack weld subassemblies and assemblies.
Perform Mig/Tig welding in various positions as required.
Set up and regulate gas for oxyacetylene torch and regulate welding parameters.
Inspect finished work and ensure it meets requirements before passing to the next operation.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment and train others on welding procedures.
