Job summary

G&W Electric Co in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Welder II for the 5:00 am to 1:30 pm first shift. You will assemble, align, square up and weld subassemblies and assemblies of moderate complexity using various equipment, read drawings, and maintain quality.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year welding training, and three years welding experience in manufacturing. The job includes moderate physical demands; pay ranges from $27 to $30 per hour with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of formal welding training or equivalent experience.
• 3 years welding experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, square up and tack weld subassemblies and assemblies of moderate to advanced complexity.
• Fit parts using torch, carbon arc or grinding equipment to aid alignment.
• Set up and regulate oxyacetylene torch and select electrode size and type.
• Perform Mig/Tig welding in various positions and inspect finished work.
