Job summary

Qualifications

• Entry-level welding experience or formal training (technical school, apprenticeship, or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to complete Weld Training Program, including AWS GMAW-P certification to D14.0 with flat position qualification, and willing to learn FCAW for 3F/4F positions.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret welding symbols, and apply decimal-based measurements for precision and quality.
• Access and interpret digital work instructions and drawings using computer systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including identifying welding defects and participating in root cause analysis.
• Ability to adapt quickly to situations to maintain safety, quality, and productivity.
• Strong communication to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Complete weldments in various positions according to blueprints and welding specs.
• Prepare, position, and align components using fixtures; bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts for final welding.
• Safely operate an oxyfuel cutting torch for preheating and perform routine welding equipment maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols; apply decimal measurements for precision.
• Access digital drawings and work instructions via computer systems.
• Identify welding defects, assist in root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
• Support 5S and workplace organization to improve efficiency.
