Vermeer seeks a Welder I to join our on-site manufacturing team. You will develop foundational welding skills, producing high-quality equipment and supporting our safety, excellence, and continuous improvement culture.

You’ll work in a collaborative environment, complete welds per blueprints, and advance through the Weld Training Program to earn AWS GMAW-P certification. This entry-level role emphasizes learning and teamwork in a dynamic factory setting.

Qualifications

• Entry-level welding experience or formal training.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols with precision.
• Willingness to complete Vermeer's Weld Training Program and AWS GMAW-P qualification.

Responsibilities

• Complete weldments in various positions following blueprints and welding standards.
• Prepare and align components using fixtures; tack weld and clamp parts for final welds.
• Safely operate oxyfuel cutting and maintain welding equipment.
• Read welding symbols and interpret digital work instructions for accurate welds.
• Access digital drawings and procedures via computer systems.
• Identify welding defects and assist root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain 5S and a clean, organized work area to support continuous improvement.
