The role emphasizes reading blueprints, following welding standards, and collaborating with teammates to ensure precise, efficient welds and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Entry-level welding experience or formal training preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret welding symbols.
• Willingness to learn and qualify in additional welding positions (FCAW, 3F/4F).

Responsibilities

• Complete weldments in various positions according to blueprints and welding procedures.
• Prepare, position, and align components using fixtures; bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts.
• Safely operate oxyfuel cutting torch for preheating and perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions for precision welding.
• Access digital drawings and work instructions via computer systems to support weld execution.
• Identify welding defects and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Contribute to 5S and workplace organization to support continuous improvement.
