Job summary

The Southern District YMCA in Exeter, NH is seeking an energetic Welcome Center Associate to greet members and serve as the main information contact. This role emphasizes friendly, customer‑service driven engagement and connecting people with YMCA programs.

You will handle inquiries in person and by phone, support member services, and help maintain a welcoming environment. Must be reliable, personable, and able to work Tue–Thu 2pm–8pm, Fri 2pm–6pm, plus one weekend shift.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Basic math and proficient computer skills.
• Ability to communicate with diverse groups.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Must be 18+ and able to obtain CPR/AED within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests in person and by phone.
• Greet members and connect them to YMCA programs.
• Handle membership concerns and report issues.
• Maintain a welcoming, safe, and organized Welcome Center.
• Follow YMCA policies and attend required training.
