Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) is seeking a Weight & Research Manager to lead the weighing and research function, ensuring accurate freight classification and weight representation across shipments. This role protects company revenue by verifying correct classification, weighing, and billing, while driving audit accuracy and continuous improvement.

The W&R Manager will lead a team, partner with Sales, Operations, and Compliance, and serve as the NMFC classification subject matter expert.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
• 2+ years of management experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and develop a team to meet objectives.
• Ability to explain and document classification corrections clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of NMFC provisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the W&R team.
• Drive data-driven process improvements.
• Monitor weights for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Review inspection reports and perform cost-benefit analyses.
• Ensure accurate invoicing through dimensioning data.
• Research NMFC descriptions and classifications.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Compliance.
• Report KPIs and present findings to leadership.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and compliant.
