Job summary

GXO is seeking a Dockmaster for weekend 2nd shift to oversee dock operations, ensuring safe and efficient trailer movements and coordination with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or related environments.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Follow safety standards and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate dock activities and trailer movements to support daily priorities.
• Monitor dock conditions and apply stop-work authority when unsafe.
• Partner with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams daily.
• Document issues using Office 365 / Google Suite.
• Ensure dock activities comply with safety and site standards.
• Provide coverage to site leadership as needed.
