Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator for the Weekend 2nd Shift (Friday - Monday, 2:00pm - 12:30am) at our Lancaster, TX facility.

This hands-on role leads dock activities, ensures safe trailer movement, and collaborates with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to meet daily priorities. The position requires prior warehouse or dock experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard or transportation-related environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock-related equipment.
• Coordinate trailer movements to support daily operational priorities.
• Manage and sequence trailer docking, release, and yard flow.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe conditions.
• Partner daily with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer-facing teams.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines, safety standards, and site SWIs.
• Support dock and yard organization in alignment with 7S workplace standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections and identify risks or delays.
• Use Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership and Lead peers.
