Job summary

Resultant is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our team for weekend shifts in Eastern Time. You may work from anywhere in the United States, with a schedule Tue-Sun in ET hours as specified: Saturday through Monday, 10am–11pm ET.

You will deliver outstanding client support, set up desktops and hardware, maintain documentation, and coordinate with the Customer Team Lead to meet service commitments. A collaborative, customer-first mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, written and oral.
• Ability to explain technical challenges to non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Specialist or similar role.
• Prior MSP experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, file permissions, domain, backups, antivirus.
• Network knowledge: DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP, firewalls, switches, wireless.
• Desktop tasks: PC replacement, IPCONFIG, domain join, printer installs, antivirus.
• User support: Outlook setup, mobile device setup (email).
• Applications: Office 365, SharePoint, QuickBooks.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional client support, exceeding expectations.
• Communicate escalation details and obtain acceptance of issues.
• Prepare desktops, laptops and hardware for customers.
• Keep customer documentation up-to-date and accurate.
• Deliver operational and project commitments with the Customer Team Lead.
• Perform customer maintenance activities for the customer team.
• Monitor alerts with the live helpdesk and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with teams to meet client needs.
• Organize, prioritize, and deliver work and commitments on time.
