Kenansville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Kenansville, NC seeks an experienced RN Weekend Unit Manager to lead nursing care on weekend shifts, manage medications, and supervise staff. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and resident welfare within regulatory policies.

The position requires a nursing license (RN or LPN), CPR certification, and prior long-term care experience; additional leadership responsibilities include coordinating care plans and ensuring quality resident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current State License as RN or LPN.
• CPR certification.
• One year of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to residents with emphasis on rights, dignity and choice.
• Supervises CNAs and subordinate staff to ensure tasks are completed.
• Directly cares for residents and nursing staff on shift.
• Gives and receives shift reports.
• Conducts rounds to ensure safe, clean care delivery.
• Notifies physicians and families about changes in condition.
• Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
• Documents care provided and maintains confidentiality.
• Maintains infection control and safety practices.
• Reports hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, and supply issues.
• Maintains resident privacy and a compassionate care environment.
• Responds promptly to call lights and assists with admissions/transfers.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, peers and supervisors.
• Attends departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
