Job summary
Newport News Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Weekend Nursing Supervisor (RN) to lead and mentor nursing staff while ensuring high-quality resident care. You will supervise daily operations, delegate tasks, and oversee adherence to care plans in a fast-paced weekend schedule.
The role requires an RN license, 3+ years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in nursing administration, and weekend availability. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (preferred in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting).
- At least 1 year of experience in nursing administration.
Responsibilities
- Lead & supervise nursing staff to ensure adequate coverage and quality resident care.
- Staff development & training to enhance ongoing education for staff.
- Direct resident care and ensure medical needs are met per individual care plans.
- Conduct and document resident assessments at admission and during stay.
- Assist in treatment planning while ensuring compliance with policies.
