This role emphasizes strong leadership, documentation, compliance, and effective shift communication. You will coordinate staffing, monitor lab orders, and help maintain high quality resident care across the weekend team.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in Texas.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent documentation and clinical assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Nursing Staff: Assign and delegate duties based on census and staff availability.
• Oversee Medication Management: Monitor medication administration and coordinate reorders.
• Implement Care Plans: Ensure care plans follow policy and physician orders.
• Provide Direct Care Support: Perform and supervise treatments, serve as staff nurse as needed.
• Manage Documentation: Transcribe orders, complete assessments, maintain records.
• Lead Shift Communication: Participate in shift reports and inform staff of care needs.
• Ensure Compliance: Enforce infection control and safe work practices.
• Respond to Staffing Needs: Coordinate coverage during shortages.
• Oversee Incidents: Investigate variances, contact families, complete reports.
• Manage Lab Work: Monitor lab orders, results, and physician follow-up.
