Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license is required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain composed during emergencies and manage workflow.
• Experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating shifts.
• Proficient in documentation and care plan implementation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Nursing Staff: Assign and delegate duties according to census and staff availability.
• Oversee Medication Management: Monitor medication administration and coordinate reorders.
• Implement Care Plans: Ensure care plans are followed per policy and physician orders.
• Provide Direct Care Support: Perform and supervise treatments and act as staff nurse when needed.
• Manage Documentation: Transcribe physician orders, complete assessments, and maintain records.
• Lead Shift Communication: Participate in shift reports and inform staff of care needs.
• Ensure Compliance: Enforce infection control procedures and safe work practices.
• Respond to Staffing Needs: Coordinate coverage for staffing shortages.
• Oversee Incidents: Investigate variances, contact families, and file incident reports.
• Manage Lab Work: Monitor lab orders, results, and physician follow-up.
