Qualifications

• RN license in Texas.
• Strong technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Nursing Staff: Assign and delegate duties based on census and staff availability.
• Oversee Medication Management: Monitor medication administration and coordinate reorders.
• Implement Care Plans: Ensure care plans are followed according to policy and physician orders.
• Provide Direct Care Support: Perform and supervise treatments, and serve as staff nurse as needed.
• Manage Documentation: Transcribe physician orders promptly, complete assessments, and maintain accurate records.
• Lead Shift Communication: Participate in shift reports and ensure staff are informed of care needs.
• Ensure Compliance: Enforce infection control procedures and safe work practices.
• Respond to Staffing Needs: Coordinate coverage for staffing shortages.
• Oversee Incidents: Investigate variances, contact families, and complete incident reports.
• Manage Lab Work: Monitor lab orders, results, and physician follow-up.
