Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health's St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Progressive Care (Step down). The RN will assess patient status, develop care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes.

The role serves as the care coordination link between Med-Surg and ICU, ensuring a safe environment and adherence to unit policies. Weekend shifts Friday 3 p.m. to Monday 7 a.m. offer differential pay, with opportunities to pick additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state
• 1 year RN experience required
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
• BSN preferred, not required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Serves as point of contact for patients’ care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
