Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care (Step-Down) unit at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital to deliver high-quality patient care, assess patient status, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe outcomes.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure; BSN is preferred. A minimum of 1 year RN experience is required, with 6 months in an acute care setting preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse; BLS/ACLS preferred at hire (ACLS within 6 months)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment; create and evaluate care plans
• Serve as point of contact for patient care coordination across departments
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in quality improvement
• Administer medications in a safe manner per policy
• Other duties as assigned
