Job summary

Ambercare Hospice is seeking a compassionate Weekend RN On-Call Nurse to join our team in Espanola, NM. You will provide expert clinical care to patients and families, ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of life, while supporting growth and connections with the community we serve.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
• CPR and First Aid Certification are required.
• Knowledge of quality assessment and assurance procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for patient and family caseload, including assessment, eligibility, admission processing, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Obtain data from patient, family, and context to inform care planning.
• Coordinate optimal care by communicating with physician and interdisciplinary team.
• Provide regular visits to reassess needs and update care plans.
• Perform clinical pronouncement of death and support the family.
