Job summary

Skiff Medical Center is seeking a House Supervisor to provide 24-hour nursing leadership and clinical coordination during weekend shifts. You will oversee Med/Surg, OB, SCU, ER, and OR units, mentor staff, and ensure continuity of care in collaboration with nursing directors and hospital leadership.

The role emphasizes leading by example, maintaining confidentiality, and promoting quality improvement while supporting department directors and the Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in medical/surgical, ER, SCU and OB settings.
• Strong resource and people management abilities.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• High-level clinical performance, judgment and organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 nursing leadership and clinical coordination.
• Mentor and guide nursing staff on shift.
• Ensure continuity of care across units and departments.
• Coordinate staffing and resource allocation for safe patient care.
• Serve as liaison between nursing, physicians, and administration.
• Participate in performance evaluation and quality initiatives.
