Job summary

Skiff Medical Center in Iowa is seeking a Weekend Shift House Supervisor to provide 24-hour patient care coordination and act as the on-site nursing leadership representative during off shifts and weekends.

You will supervise nursing staff across Med/Surg, OB, SCU, ER and OR, mentor staff, maintain confidentiality, ensure continuity of care, and collaborate with department directors and the Chief Nursing Officer to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent, graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Two years RN clinical experience; Med/Surg, ER, SCU and OB preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license; BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and NRP certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour clinical coordination and on-site nursing leadership during off shifts and weekends.
• Mentor and support nursing staff; ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinate care and supervise patient care units on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Serve as liaison between nursing and physicians when necessary.
• Address formal complaints promptly with a focus on service recovery.
