Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse House Supervisor to oversee weekend staffing and clinical operations. The role supports staff during Code 4 events, admissions, transfers, and patient monitoring to ensure high-quality care across the unit.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing with at least 3 years of clinical nursing experience and an active RN license. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Registered Nurse license for the state of practice.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Typically requires 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Participates, observes and supports staff for patient related clinical problems, including Code 4, admissions, transfers, and monitoring of unstable patients.
• Collaborates with physicians to ensure optimal patient care and efficient resource use; supports staff in problem solving patient service issues.
• Investigates patient incidents and medication errors, documents findings, and supports corrective action plans.
• Serves as liaison to ensure processes for delivering high quality care and maintains staff relations with management and medical staff.
• Identifies trends in system problems and informs unit management.
• Assists with patient admission, transfer, and discharge to facilitate timely processes and ensures proper orders are initiated.
